What is the most you have spent on a kids clothing?

I see clothes out there that are worth over $200. I would never spend that much on a dress that probably won’t fit after a month or two or tear.

Whenever I can afford it, I try to get my daughter 1 or 2 really nice outfits per year. I look on the sales / clearance racks first for these.

Her most expensive school shirt/pant set was $40. Looking through the layers of sale tags, I could see that it started out at over $100. Most expensive dress was about $100. And most expensive swimsuit was $35.

I only get this high price stuff when it looks amazing on her and is cut in a way that I think it will still look good as she grows. … Her other clothes are cheaper and tend to wear out faster. Some of her shirts were only like $2. And I rarely spend over $20 on a dress. (in fact, her last 2 dresses were $12 each)

… By the way, when this trend started my mother was taking her to nice office parties, which my daughter loved but kind of needed to "dress up" for. My mom recently switched jobs but my 10 yr old still likes to have a few nice outfits – just in case she gets invited to a wedding or a ball.

$170 on a custom made flower girl dress

Usually, $5-$10. Nothing more then $20 unless it’s a new snow suit or something like that.
